Fruity
Strawberry Banana Yogurt Smoothie
A familiar strawberry and banana smoothie made creamier with plain yogurt. This small-batch version uses chilled soft fruit instead of relying on hard ice.
Ingredients
| Ingredient | Amount |
|---|---|
| Cold milk or unsweetened plant drink | 100ml |
| Ripe banana, sliced | Half a small banana, about 45g |
| Fresh strawberries, hulled and quartered | 65g |
| Plain yogurt | 40g |
| Vanilla extract, optional | A few drops |
Method
- Add the milk to a clean blender bottle, followed by the yogurt.
- Add small banana slices, prepared strawberries and optional vanilla. Check that the mixture is beneath the maximum fill line.
- Blend according to your model's instructions. If the fruit does not circulate, stop safely and adjust the portion or liquid rather than forcing the motor.
- Serve immediately. Rinse or wash food-contact parts promptly.
Make it your own: Choose a very ripe banana for natural sweetness; unripe banana can make the drink starchy. For a thinner drink, reduce the yogurt slightly rather than adding extra liquid above the fill mark.
Nutrition notes
Nutrition depends on the chosen ingredients, brand and exact amounts. This recipe is an editorial ingredient suggestion, not a kitchen-tested or laboratory-analysed nutrition claim. No precise calorie or macronutrient figures are asserted.
Portable blender notes
Ingredient volumes and density vary. Adjust the quantities downward if necessary for your specific appliance and never exceed its working fill line. Add suitable cold liquid first, prepare fruit into small pieces and check the frozen-fruit and ice precautions before making substitutions. Do not force stalled blades. Follow the Smothie manual for model-specific guidance.
Allergens and other considerations
Contains milk if made with dairy milk or yogurt. Check the labels of any substitutes.

For compact blending, add liquid first and cut firmer ingredients into smaller pieces. If the mixture is too thick to circulate, add a small splash of liquid and blend again.
