Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie
A creamy peanut butter and banana smoothie made with everyday ingredients in a small portable blender bottle.
Ingredients
| Ingredient | Amount |
|---|---|
| Milk or unsweetened plant drink | 150ml |
| Ripe banana, sliced | 1/2 medium banana (about 55g) |
| Smooth peanut butter | 1 level tbsp (about 15g) |
| Rolled oats (optional) | 1 tbsp (about 10g) |
| Cinnamon, optional | A small pinch |

Method
- Pour the milk into the blender bottle first. If adding oats, add them to the milk and soak for five minutes for a smoother texture.
- Add the banana slices, peanut butter and optional cinnamon. Make sure the ingredients stay below the maximum fill line.
- Secure the blender as instructed in its manual, then blend until smooth. If the mixture does not circulate, stop the blender and adjust the ingredients.
- Serve immediately and rinse the food-contact parts after use.
350ml tip: This is a small-portion recipe, but fruit size varies. Check the maximum fill line before blending. For more volume, make a second batch rather than overfilling.
Estimated nutrition
Per serving with dairy milk and optional oats: Approximately 245 calories · Protein 11g · Carbohydrate 29g · Fat 11g.
Estimate based on 150ml semi-skimmed milk, 55g banana, 15g peanut butter and 10g oats, without additional sweeteners. Brands and substitutions vary; actual values will differ.
Portable blending notes
Add liquid before firmer ingredients, chop the banana and leave enough room for ingredients to circulate. If the mixture is too thick to blend, stop and adjust it while staying below your blender's maximum fill line.
Variations
For a chocolate twist, add 1 level teaspoon of unsweetened cocoa powder and a little more milk if needed. Frozen fruit or ice should be used only if your model's manual permits them.
Allergens and serving notes
Contains peanuts. Contains milk if made with dairy milk; check the labels of plant alternatives and other packaged ingredients for allergens. A nut-free spread can be used if suitable for your dietary needs.
