Iced Coffee Banana Smoothie Without Ice
This coffee banana smoothie uses cooled coffee and a ripe banana for a café-style drink without adding hard ice cubes. It is naturally thicker than iced coffee but lighter than a dessert shake.
Ingredients
| Ingredient | Amount |
|---|---|
| Brewed coffee, fully chilled | 80ml |
| Cold milk or unsweetened plant drink | 75ml |
| Ripe banana, sliced | Half a small banana, about 45g |
| Plain yogurt, optional | 25g |
| Cocoa powder, optional | Half a teaspoon |
Method
- Brew coffee in advance and cool it completely before blending. Never add hot coffee to a sealed portable blender.
- Add the chilled coffee and milk to the bottle. Follow with banana slices and optional yogurt or cocoa.
- Check the safe fill level, close the appliance and blend according to its instructions.
- Serve promptly; refrigerate any perishable ingredients until preparation.
Make it your own: Use decaffeinated coffee if you prefer the flavour without caffeine. If you like a more dessert-like finish, use a small amount of plain yogurt, making sure the mixture remains fluid enough to circulate.
Nutrition notes
Nutrition depends on the chosen ingredients, brand and exact amounts. This recipe is an editorial ingredient suggestion, not a kitchen-tested or laboratory-analysed nutrition claim. No precise calorie or macronutrient figures are asserted.
Portable blender notes
Ingredient volumes and density vary. Adjust the quantities downward if necessary for your specific appliance and never exceed its working fill line. Add suitable cold liquid first, prepare fruit into small pieces and check the frozen-fruit and ice precautions before making substitutions. Do not force stalled blades. Follow the Smothie manual for model-specific guidance.
Allergens and other considerations
Contains milk if dairy products are used. Coffee contributes caffeine unless decaffeinated.

For compact blending, add liquid first and cut firmer ingredients into smaller pieces. If the mixture is too thick to circulate, add a small splash of liquid and blend again.
